Range of application for roof heatings
There are various possible applications for a roof heating. For example, a roof heating offers reliable protection from damage caused by ice and snow for flat roofs. Also, a roof heating is an ideal supplement to snow guards as a prevention of roof avalanches.
Protect your flat roof from ice and snow
Flat roofs, especially older ones, can be damaged quickly in winter. The snow load alone can be a problem for a flat roof, but things get especially dangerous if small amounts of water seep into the insulation. If this water freezes it can cause major damage to the roof insulation, which leads to expensive repairs. A roof heating prevents those risks.
Roof heating as "Snow guards" and protection from roof avalanches
Once buildings are close to public roads, snow guards are required. But snow guards alone often do not protect against roof avalanches. If there is too much snow or thaw sets very quickly, there may nevertheless occure roof avalanches and even if a snow guard was mounted, in case of damage the homeowner is always liable. And property damage from a roof avalanche can quickly make large sums - not to mention personal injury. A roof surface heating ensures that no snow accumulates on the roof, so this is the perfect protection against roof avalanches and relieves the snow guards.
Easy installation - no matter whether flat or gable roof
To achieve a reliable frost protection using roof space heaters in a flat roof or pitched roof, Hemstedt offers various solutions that can be easily installed later. Especially the patented sleeveless transition between hot and cold lead conductors make Hemstedt roof heating so reliable. For there is no old-fashioned heat shrink tube used, the roof surface heating is 100% waterproof.
Roof heating in combination with gutter heating
When installing a roof surface heating a gutter heating is also very useful. It can be found also in the Hemstedt program.. Because the gutter heating ensures the necessary frost protection of gutter and downpipe, so that melt water can flow away quickly and reliably.
