Frost protection even during the transition period
It doesn't take much for water pipes in the house or in the garden to freeze, leading to expensive repair measures or even water damage. With pipe trace heating you are safe from that, even during the transition periods in spring and autumn, when sudden night frost can still cause damage.
Which pipe trace heating is the right one?
The Hemstedt pipe trace heating is designed to protect water pipes made of metal or plastic that are susceptible to frost up to -20°C. It can either be operated permanently, which makes sense in, for example, permanently cold regions, or it can be controlled via timer or thermostat.
Self-regulating pipe trace heating
The self-regulating pipe trace heating by Hemstedt offer reliable frost protection for water pipes all year round. A thermostat is attached to the presumably coldest point of the pipe and switches it on as soon as the temperature drops below +5°C. That way, the pipe trace heating can be permanenty connected to the grid, preventing nasty surprises in case of a sudden temperature drop. The energy demand is independently reduced to a minimum.
Quick, effortless installation
The HEM-SYSTEM pipe trace heating are attached loosely to the bottom of the pipe with either adhesive aluminium tape or heat-resistant zip ties. Additional windings of the heating cable supply elements like valves that have a higher energy demand with the necessary heat. Plastic pipes have to be wrapped in aluminium foil first. Optionally, a customary heat insulation layer with a minimum thickness of 20 mm can be applied. It guarantees not only the functionality of the heating cable but also significantly reduced the energy consumption. Now all you need to do to be protected from frost is plug it in.
HEM-SYSTEM for more reliable pipe trace heating
The pre-assembled pipe trace heating by Hemstedt are designed with the unique HEM-SYSTEM. That means the junctions between heating cables are sleeveless, thus avoiding bulges or the need to use shrinking tubes. That way, the Hemstedt pipe trace heating is 100% water-proof.
