Drainage heaters from Hemstedt

Condensate drainage heaters, also known as frost protection heaters or drainage heaters, are systems designed to prevent water from freezing in pipes, drains, gutters and other drainage systems. These heating systems are often used in cold climates or in buildings that require free water drainage to prevent frost damage.

The function of condensate drainage heaters is to emit heat into the affected areas and keep the water warm enough to prevent freezing. These heating systems are operated electrically or hydraulically. Electric heating systems use electric resistance elements to generate heat, while hydraulic heating systems circulate hot water through pipes to provide the required heat.

These heating systems are particularly important in areas with extreme cold, as the freezing of pipes and lines can cause significant damage in both residential and industrial buildings. Condensate drainage heating systems ensure that water can drain away easily even in cold temperatures, significantly reducing the risk of leaks and water damage.

Avoid damage caused by condensation everywhere!

Water is produced during the regular defrost cycle of evaporators and must be drained safely. For this purpose, the drainage pipes must be sufficiently heated for a certain full stop of time (30 minutes) to prevent the drainage paths from freezing (heating inside the pipe). Insufficient heating can cause considerable damage.
